Long Island Dads is a safe, friendly community for dads. These guidelines help us keep it that way. Violating these guidelines may result in content removal, warnings, or account suspension.

Be Respectful

Treat everyone with respect, even when you disagree.
No hate speech, slurs, harassment, bullying, or threats.
No discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
Healthy debate is welcome; personal attacks are not.

Protect Privacy & Safety

No doxxing. Do not share anyone's exact address, phone number, workplace, or other personal details.
No school names or locations where children can be identified.
No posting photos of children that could identify them (faces, names, school uniforms).
Keep your own sharing to city/town level only. Exact meetup locations can be shared via private messages.
If you see personal information posted, report it immediately.

Keep It Legal

No selling or promoting illegal items, substances, or services.
No pirated content or intellectual property violations.
Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

No Spam or Self-Promotion

No excessive self-promotion, affiliate links, or paid advertising disguised as organic posts.
Genuine vendor recommendations with clear disclosure are allowed.
Automated posting or bot accounts are not allowed.

All content is user-generated and does not constitute professional advice.
Do not rely on forum posts for medical, legal, or financial decisions — consult a qualified professional.
Vendor recommendations are personal opinions; do your own research before hiring.

Reporting & Enforcement

Use the Report button on any thread or comment that violates these guidelines.
Reports are reviewed by our moderation team (usually within 24 hours).
Depending on severity, actions may include: content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.
Repeated violations will result in escalating consequences.
Reports are confidential — we do not share who reported content.

Moderation Transparency

Our moderation team strives to be fair and consistent. All moderation actions are logged. If you believe an action was taken in error, contact us at support@dadsnetwork.com.

Adults Only

This community is for adults (18+). We enforce age verification during signup. If we discover a user is under 18, their account will be removed immediately.
