1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Long Island Dads (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 or older. This Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your profile information current.

4. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant the Service a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your content in connection with the Service.

All content is user-generated and does not constitute professional advice. Information shared on the Service should not be treated as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals for such matters.

5. Prohibited Content & Conduct

  • Hate speech, harassment, or threats
  • Doxxing: sharing addresses, phone numbers, or personal information
  • Posting photos of children that identify them without consent
  • Sharing school names or locations where children can be identified
  • Selling illegal items or services
  • Spam, misleading content, or scams
  • Impersonation of other users or public figures
  • Content that violates any applicable law

6. Moderation & Enforcement

The Service reserves the right to remove content, warn users, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these terms or our Community Guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

7. Reporting

Users may report content that violates these terms using the Report button. We review all reports and take action as appropriate. Reports are confidential.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Shopify for merchandise. Purchases are processed through Shopify and subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. USER-GENERATED CONTENT DOES NOT REPRESENT THE VIEWS OF LONG ISLAND DADS. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY CONTENT POSTED BY USERS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your content may be removed.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
